Horsemasters Distribution Ltd is a small family business and is the exclusive UK distributor for Mountain Horse clothing and footwear in the UK and Eire. We supply a network of more than 200 shops and online stores where you can buy Mountain Horse.

We work closely with Mountain Horse to bring you the products you want. We combine this close working relationship with a sound knowledge of equestrianism. There are riders of all levels among the Horsemasters staff and we have owned show jumpers that have represented Great Britain at Nations Cup level, as well as eventers who have competed at Badminton and Burghley.

Mountain Horse is a Swedish company which designs and manufactures high-quality equestrian wear including jackets, breeches, boots and accessories. Mountain Horse is renowned for its use of design technology and latest fabrics, combining innovation with the practical needs of all riders.

Mountain Horse’s head office is in Kungsbacka which is just south of Gothenburg and, like Horsemasters, is a family business. The company was started in 1988 by Lars Sjosvard. His background was in footwear and he was involved in the development of the sports trainer as we know it now.

Lars had always ridden and was astonished riding boots were manufactured along the same lines as everyday footwear. He could not understand why they were not specifically designed to be supportive and cushioning with safety features relevant to riding. So, he set about designing and making his own. The first boot he produced was the Mountain Horse Winter Rider and, from this, a complete technical range of Mountain Horse clothing and footwear was born.
